I go to the happy place Café in the wide-awake forum most nights.

We are well fed, the fire pit is always lit, there are comfy chairs, and everything runs smoothly

Our host has several goats and kitten bees, and a petting zoo

Recently on the trip to a wildlife Park, they were overrun with lemurs, so I brought one home, and he has been happily living in the happy place Café

Obviously, he has a streak of mischief, and will occasionally pinch fruit or biscuits from Florence, who cooks our breakfast
But he is a kindhearted thief, and he is generally doing this for the goats

Our host says I have to control his behaviour or he has to go back to the wildlife Park (who have never even missed him, there was nothing on the news) she even complains that he leaves paw prints on things - like the kitten bees don't leave a mess everywhere

I don't see why it's down to me to control his behaviour, no one takes responsibility for what the goats do and they are 100% evil on occasion

Am I being unreasonable to think she should just relax and let Leo live his happy life?

Pardon?

TheSnowyOwl · 13/02/2024 10:34

Did you name him Leo?

HereWeGoRoundAgain · 13/02/2024 10:36

It's too early in the day for you to be high or drunk, so I'm going with film parody?

steff13 · 13/02/2024 10:37

What is a kitten bee?

DiscoBeat · 13/02/2024 10:45

Just discovered Chat GPT?

notknowledgeable · 13/02/2024 10:47

Leo will not be happy on his own and needs to be returned to live with other of his own species

pickledandpuzzled · 13/02/2024 10:47

I think you are unreasonable to ask daytime residents to comment on night time traffic!

TheGrimSqueakersFlea · 13/02/2024 10:49

@steff13 A small cat with a sharp pointy arse. Oh, and wings

Fuck knows

Windydaysandwetnights · 13/02/2024 10:51

Zoo thread op?.

KreedKafer · 13/02/2024 10:53

In-jokes are only funny for people are in on them.

vodkaredbullgirl · 13/02/2024 10:54

🤔

EffortlesslyInelegant · 13/02/2024 10:56

Have we not suffered enough already today? 🙄

I do enjoy the rich internal societies that build up in some communities on here. I was invited to pull up a bale and pass round some lemon drizzle in one, years ago. I’m still friends with a few from another nutty thread- we went to WhatsApp and broke cover eventually.

Just make sure he doesn't get hold of the keys to Fernando spirit cabinet !

I'm sure you'd be blocking anyone's access to the alcohol 😁

Hey ! I am all for people having a drink but have you ever met a leumer with a hang over , talk about grouchy !

Octavia64 · 13/02/2024 18:45

Ooh I haven't been there for ages and I was up twice in the night with pain.

Could have done with some lovely breakfast - and why not, a lemur as well. Better than my cats which woke me up and demanded food just as I'd nodded off early this morning!

TopOfTheCliff · 13/02/2024 20:20

Do Lemurs smell? If so then I don’t want him in the cafe while I am enjoying breakfast. I really dislike pets on the table/ licking my hands/ stealing food. It makes my germ phobia twitch.
If you fit a stairgate to the door it will keep the goats out but Leo will just jump over it.

Lemurs smell @TopOfTheCliff but not Leo

And he has impeccable table manners

MissingMoominMamma · 13/02/2024 22:51

I really like lemurs. I’ve stroked them secretly at the zoo several times (don’t tell). They weren’t very smelly, but they do try to pinch your food, so perhaps a cafe isn’t the best place for Leo. Could you take him home?

lovinglaughingliving · 14/02/2024 02:03

@Tilllly 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this is the best thing ever!

sashh · 14/02/2024 04:23

For the person who asked Kitten bees are kittens the size of bees with wings. Not to be mixed up with the Bumble cats which are similar, live outside and are bigger and less docile.

Also the goats are in the petting zoo, not in the cafe.

PeopleAreWeird · 14/02/2024 04:33

Love it :)
