Is this a stupid thing to worry about?!

My toddler trod on a fairy pod for the washing machine. I must have left the cupboard door unlocked, I’m aware this was very stupid. Anyway he’s traipsed it all over the kitchen floor and my 7 month old has crawled round the floor too. I’ve only just realised this has happened as the blue colour from the pod isn’t easy to see on the dark tiles. I’ve got some wipes and wipes the whole floor but I’m worried there’s basically remnants of a fairy pod everywhere which could be harmful to the baby? I’m very anxious and this has tipped me over the edge today!

I think if you’ve given it a good wipe and the kids aren’t licking the floor, you’re fine

You could give it a mop with hot water if you’re really worried?

If you've wiped it and can't see remnants of it then there's no more danger than at any other time. Surfaces are always covered in some kind of unpleasant or dangerous substance - either they're freshly cleaned and have remnants of whatever substance was used to clean them, or they're not freshly cleaned and have picked up germs, bacteria and general dirt. Which isn't meant to worry you, my point is, a surface you've cleaned up a burst fairy pod from is no more danger than if the pod hadn't been burst on.
