Scared that I could have a brain tumour..

Thursday and Friday off last week I felt really sick. I wasn't, I just felt it. I thought that's a bit strange but didn't think too much into it.

Saturday I started with a headache, which I never get. I had headache and felt out of sorts Saturday and Sunday and had a bit of an upset stomach.

Monday I felt really sick, very dizzy, had numbness on the left side of my body and the headache was awful. I went to the docs and they did a neurological exam which they said apart from some weakness in my left leg was normal. Gave me painkillers and said it might be the start of something but they're not sure what and to come back if it gets worse.

I've still got this headache, nausea, dizziness and weakness. I've now absolutely terrified myself it's a brain tumour. The headache is worse when I bend down or move my eyes at all.

Has anyone else had anything like this and it's been a virus, or stress?

@Sususudio I didn't realise they could last for weeks, this makes me feel more reassured that's what it could be. I've had all of those listed, stressful job, young kids, relationship issues, not looking after myself. It would make sense that I've triggered something like that.
I've even been considering paying £350 for a private scan

Some more info about vestibular migraine. If the doctors don't find anything neurological please consider this, though I am not a doctor. Vestibular migraine - The Migraine Trust Please also look up the 6C's. They can trigger migraine. They are caffeine, chocolate, Chinese food, chianti ( alcohol basically) and cheese or citrus. Too much of any these can trigger vestibular migraines which can result in severe dizziness. DD was eating too much chocolate and drinking too much coffee during her GCSEs. We had a nightmare diagnosing her as she had no headaches and only dizziness for weeks.. We thought of brain tumours too! No harm if you try reducing these food groups. Eventually she also needed meds for a while, but you may not need them.

I had some similar issues lately including feeling off balance/sea sick. It can all be caused by stress and anxiety or stress and anxiety can make it worse but it turned out that it was also partly due to my thyroid. (which goes hand in hand with anaemia) If it doesn’t clear up it might be worth asking gp for some blood test just to rule out other possibilities. (Agree with others that tumour is the least likely possibility but I can understand how worried you must be if it had affected your family)
