A really good (preferably free) belly fat workout on YouTube or similar? Have about 2 stone to lose but rarely have chance to get to the gym so I'm looking for a guided workout I can do from home. I feel like a series or similar would motivate my best.

Happy to pay if there are any good ones.

Can exercise 3-4 times per week and am very much a beginner. Just need to take control of my life and feel better health wise as well as getting rid of this excess flab.

May I ask how old are you are?

You can't spot reduce specific areas, unfortunately! Diet and strength training is my go to. Personally I like Powerwave. 20 minutes sessions, seriously effective. There is an outlay for the bag think I paid £120, you can sign up online or search you tube for free for workouts, once you know the basics you can design your own.

I'm not a trainer, so don't go chucking a weighted back around if you have injuries to consider!

80% food 20% exercise

If you've had children there's a chance your muscles have stretched so they need toning but if your overweight losing some of that will help, but it'll cost you a fortune in bras that fit. 😎

I'm 39.

Totally understand that it's more diet than exercise and I'm working on that too but at the moment (other than walking) my lifestyle contains no exercise whatsoever and I feel that needs to change.

I know there are certain exercises, weight training etc that benefit certain parts of the body and my problem area is definitely my flabby belly!

Do you like doing squats and lifting weights?

cottontail22 · 07/02/2024 13:29

Not keen on squats at all and have very little upper body strength- basically no experience of lifting weights but happy to try.
