To think client was rude?

I’m a beautician and client asked for a last minute appointment for her eyebrows for her new job next week.

Only day I could fit her in was Friday and then my child got sick and I had to cancel all appointments. I messaged her to apologise and that I’d fit her in next week and she only responded with - don’t bother.

Well I wouldn't be messaging again, she la not interested.

Yeah she was rude but it was a last minute appointment so booking for the following week didn’t suit her.
I would leave it be, you can’t help your child getting sick so wouldn’t worry about the client.

It was a little rude but you new she wouldn’t want the appointment next week. It’s not the worst care of rudeness I’ve ever seen.

Sounds like a thumbs up and ignore moment

VanilleA · 03/02/2024 18:14

Rude but yeah don't take it to heart

I imagine she was very upset, pressure of new job wanting to look her best, she doesn't want them done mid week and will have found someone else to do it. I think you have lost a client, but yes she could have been more tactful. I left my hairdresser for this reason, twice she left me in the lurch for childcare. I am self employed and wouldn't do that to my clients so I kind of expect others to have things in place. We look forward to our bits of me time and it's not always easy to rearrange, especially last minute.

She was inconvenienced but also very rude ,she's no loss to you as a client.
