Originally posted this in the work thread but could do with some general perspective.

Retrained to move towards job that is closer to my values of wanting to make a difference in other people's lives.

Work uses a formula of needing us to hit 5 appointments per day for 7 hour day including write ups for each appointment (15 mins per apt average). I tend to hit between 6-8 per day without breaks to keep the management figures in the green. Was assigned to a base assuming 4 days work per week to hit quota plus one day for admin, planning and meetings. Headcount in team reduced by 15% and advised by email I now need to hit same target in 3.5 days and pick up 1 day at new base so 4.5 days in total. On top of that, I have a quota of non base customers that can fluctuate.

I also have two team meetings a month that take up half a day each and two full days a month that was agreed for me to take part in a company project. I've spoken to my previous manager and my current manager about the fact that I don't have the hours in the day to see non base customers and no-one else who does the same hours per week seems to have the same caseload.

Apart from saying they'll look at it, nothing has happened. I've spoken to two different managers and HR just refer you back to them. It's affecting my mental health and I had to ask the doctor for betablockers to control my anxiety. Work are aware I have had mental health issues and I don't want to say I can't cope as I love my actual job but worry about the stigma. What would you do?

I love my day to day job so much. I really don't want to look for something else after all the effort I put into retraining. AIBU to think I should look for something else. It's breaking my heart to even consider it.

You need to email it to your current manager in writing, start there. Keep to the facts about how many hours you have in a day, what is possible, how many meetings you have which take X amount of times. Maths and facts only.

Start there and keep a copy.

Yes I agree. Maths facts and a spreadsheet are your friends here
