Erm ... you either cook or you don't. What is this whole 'from scratch' business about? And I'm not being judgey, if you don't want to cook and want to buy pre-prepared stuff, then fine. Its the wording that pisses me off

But I'm still confused, Pinion. Why on earth does the term 'cooking from scratch' piss you off?

Help me. I'm lost.

well DH works at a university but sadly in the science dept so I don't have access to anything much except for life-threatening (but hopefully attenuated) viruses. Not as much fun as the OED.

Seems an odd thing to get het up about.

Shd still have Athens access, TYV, and I should imagine his univ subscribes. Get him to log in and see if you can hunt it down.

theyoungvisiter · 20/03/2008 22:22

gosh I didn't realise you were running a book healthygran. What odds were you offering?

theyoungvisiter · 20/03/2008 22:24

hmm, that is a cunning idea Habbibu. I shall investigate (are you trying to stop me from coming round your house to ask you my etymology questions?)
