Does anyone else do this?

Yeah, I think adult stuff will be OK. Or just soap and water. I often use the bar of soap in the bath (Pears)

I use E45 shampoo on my kids (nearly 2 and 5). It's technically for adults and not specifically targeted at kids but it's incredibly mild and gentle, no scent etc. Way more kid friendly than child's farm and the like in my books! I wouldn't use tresseme on kids, no.,

Yeah I did from around age 2. I'm not convinced it's that different and my children don't have sensitive skin anyway so I was willing to take the risk. Agree with pp that kids' shampoo stung their eyes anyway so that's not an argument in my eyes! We've never had a problem with the adult stuff.

I use a fairly gentle shampoo anyway (sulphate free etc) so we all just use the same thing.

Silicon based conditioners are way too much for most kids hair imho. Makes my kids hair look greasy.

The kids specific ones seem to sting eyes less. But if that isn’t an issue, I don’t think there is any other reason to prefer them.

2 and a half year old. I use the same goat milk and oat soap bar for him as I do for myself. Some soap on his bum, underarms, neck and hands. Everywhere else I just wash with a facecloth and warm water, including his hair.

We also use the burts bees baby wash as he likes playing with the bubbles in various containers while I'm showering. It's also a shampoo, so maybe once a week to once a fortnight he'll get his hair shampooed too, but honestly a scrub over his hair with a wet face cloth seems to be plenty.

The muckier he is the more soap is involved but, more often than not, the only soap being use is on his bum.

I don't use any other products on him at all except for suncream in summer, and sudocreme for the occasional rash.

I used regular supermarket stuff from when DD was about three, although I used to pour the body wash into the, ahem, Matey bottle.
I do however now use baby shampoo myself, I was getting ear infections and it transpired my normal Aussie shampoo was stripping the lining of my ear canal.
