Have enjoyed ted lasso ghosts and detectorists.
Can MN recommend any others please?

Much needed. Husband likes much darker/ gritty stuff than me. As do most people it seems!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the latest version of 'All Creatures Great and Small'. We had a few year with my 95+ MIL living with us. She had demetia, so we had to be careful what we had on. Nothing with sex, violence or complicated plots, we had to try to stay awake to watch Line of Duty. Things thst worked as well as ACGAS? Doc Martin, Death in Paradise, Madame Blanc. Al a bit cheesy, but no gory bits. It was a bit hit and miss. She got upset once when someone got stuck on a roof in Doc Martin, but we settled her down.

You might like Sanditon. Or for fairly unrelenting positivity, Chesapeake Shores - beautiful scenery too.

Any 70s sitcom fits the feel-good no-sex-or-violence-or-swearing bill: On the Buses, Man About the House, Please Sir!, Get Some In! etc. are all available online. Often they've been edited to remove racist terminology/"blacking up"/homophobia and so on so they're cleaner than ever.

Young Sheldon. It's so funny!

raffys · 29/01/2024 21:38

Shrinking - it's from the same writers as Ted Lasso and I loved it just as much if not a little more!
