To ring the midwife on a Saturday about heartburn?

I'm so frustrated. 11 weeks, I've had dreadful heartburn since the beginning.

At first I was taking lansoprazole not realising I wasn't supposed to take in pregnancy. It's been about a few weeks since I stopped and I get dreadful heartburn, regurgitation, I'm on a really limited diet because of the nausea.

I messaged the GP on Tuesday asking for omeprezole and haven't heard anything yet. I just went to the pharmacy to buy it over the counter but they wouldn't sell it to me as I'm pregnant. They told me to ring 111! Or to ring my midwife.

It's not urgent, I'm just feeling so fed up. Would IBU to ring the midwife today or 111...

YABU - leave it til Monday
YANBU - try and get sorted today

If you phone your GP on Monday morning they should be able to write you a prescription without you needing to see a Doctor. I used to get prescribed really big bottles and I just had to call the surgery and ask for a repeat prescription when I ran out. I had it for my whole pregnancy, it gets worse when baby gets bigger and is resting its head on your stomach.

Gaviscon advance is amazing, works loads better than normal gaviscon- expensive though 😔

This is what my GP gave me on prescription which is why it's best to call them, I could never have afforded to buy this for six months and I got the big bottle as well.

Get Gaviscon from a supermarket 🤔
I drank liters of it during my first pregnancy...
