Nursery said daughter is sickliest kid in class

Stopped to chat to one of the nursery staff today at the bus stop and she said, "hope you don't mind me saying, and I don't mean anything bad by it, but I just have to tell you. I think your daughter might have something - I don't think it's asthma but something - as she is always sick and she is the only one in the class to have picked up every virus. I would just go to the GP and get it checked out"

She's been sick since January with a virus (which we all have had) but before then she's been at nursery for nine months and only on three occasions been sent home - I really didn't think it was that serious? Or out of the ordinary? I don't know whether to just ignore her or start worrying that my kid is the sickliest kid she's seen?

It’s very normal and just bad luck. I’ve been there.

I would just try for the mindset of ‘it is what it is’ and ignore comments.

Try not to worry OP.

Why would you ignore her? It can't do any harm to go to the gp just in case

Is she a snotty kid? If so she could mean her nose is always running and concerned about enlarged adenoids or so similar?

She's been quite snotty since the start of this term yeh. Before that not particularly

I'd recommend the baby saline spray for snottiness. It really helped my DC, just one spray up each nostril once a day. But like others say, maybe to to the gp and check if things haven't improved in a week. My experience of nursery was my DC got everything and were constantly ill for a year though!

It was mentioned in a kind way, take it that way.
Visit your GP just in case.
Worst case scenario, you made an unnecessary appointment
Best case scenario, something gets diagnosed and your child gets the medical help they need.
