brave she may be mumsfruitnut
but its visual urine to watch and that looong theme tune sends me into a spin of despair
ds dislikes it too btw

Flubdub · 19/03/2008 18:52

Do you think that they film about 12 episodes a day, thats why their clothes are the same. Maybe in a few episodes time, their outfits will change again for a few weeks.

My dd's call me when Carrie starts jumping in her high high heels, they know I'm amazed and just want to see it again. Don't think she can sing that well though and I thought she was a singing coach or something.

Also her hair is a bit strange. But David is quite sweet.

Have to say I love the 'Is it this or is it that song'

tiredemma · 22/03/2008 20:27

They were 'rapping' the other day. My ears almost started bleeding.

llareggub · 22/03/2008 20:30

I think they are the oldest people to ever appear on a childrens television programme. It is all very odd and I've had to ban cbeebies.

evie99 · 22/03/2008 20:39

The oldest and the oddest. I really don't like this programme.

Sassafrass · 22/03/2008 21:22

I can't stand her voice, but my three year old daughter loves it and dances to every song so I'll just have to learn to love the show I think =)

zephyrcat · 22/03/2008 21:24

I have to admit to loving the 'Is it this or is ti that' song too!

bubblepop · 22/03/2008 21:51

my girls love it.....but i must admit i don't like the look of 'her'..but i don't know why!

bubblepop · 22/03/2008 21:51

i think its possibly because i think she looks too old to wear those skinny jeans!

CatIsSleepy · 22/03/2008 22:01

LOL I was wondering why she never changes her outfit either...Her hair clashes terribly with her top too.

is he some kind of pop 'star' from a while back? looks vaguely familiar.

tis a very annoying prog. dd hates the dog, keeps saying 'silly doggie' at the TV when it's on.

she does love Mr Maker though

Mr Tumble is just too weird. I find him creepy.

mehdismummy · 22/03/2008 22:02

my ds loves it too! I just worry that carrie is wearing the same old clothes alot! Also pleased ds like something other than the bloody tweenies!

mehdismummy · 22/03/2008 22:07

he did duets with jacki graham in the eighties

smoggie · 22/03/2008 22:50

Now this may be a sign that it's been far too long since I've been out clubbing/dancing, but really, does she have to stand/dance all the time with her legs so bloody far apart???
I just think it looks so unnatural and not really appropriate for cbeebies. She just looks like she's constantly auditioning for a lapdancing job. Stand straight woman and do proper 'mummy dancing' that will embarrass and humiliate your children. THey don't want to see you pretending to be a 'down with it' wannabe 20 something.

Sorry - Carrie if you do come on MN, I love you, really I do(have sis with crohn's so know what it all entails and how amazingly strong you must be), but please tone down the bouncing crotch dancing.

ps ds's (5 & 3) LOVE it.

islandofsodor · 26/03/2008 22:51

Oh dear, oh dear. I saw this a few days ago. This is SO not the sort of singing we should be encouraging our children to emulate.

It is wrong on so many levels. Carrie screeches, she forces her voice, kids imitating her will end up with all sorts of problems.

I am appalled, get that woman away from children and their precious voices.

Tippychick · 27/03/2008 10:55

It's terrible

Every song is the same pappy poppy nonsense and the patronising, pointless addressing the viewer through the camera - why? It seems to be a BBC Scotland thing, Balamory and Bits and Bobs (now that is truly terrible) all do it. Address the viewer - fine - but pretending to hand them things that you later ask them to hand back or leaving a weird pause for their response is odd and irritating. Does anyone actually have a child who believes that they are being handed a cat/rope/pod of a song?

And she does that horrible thing of singing "Mah" when she means "My" - grrrrr.

I have too much rage against it considering my DD loves it really, I should get a life.

LilRedWG · 27/03/2008 11:00

I can't stand it. DD loves it though

I admit to jealousy of her figure but was please to hear DH say, "She's a tad overly sexualized for CBeebies, isn't she?" and, "God, what a hag!"

I do love my husband.

CrushWithEyeliner · 27/03/2008 11:02

It is like watching cebeebies on really strong Acid, it literally makes me upset. In fact i am getting upset just thinking about her colour palette

totalmisfit · 27/03/2008 11:04

agree it's awful. egotistical twunts both of them.

LilRedWG · 27/03/2008 11:05

Shall we all www.carrieanddavidgrantfans.co.uk/join?

LilRedWG · 27/03/2008 11:05

Poo!

lillypie · 27/03/2008 11:11

Be very careful that bounce song gets into your HEAD!!!!!!!!

LilRedWG · 27/03/2008 17:03

Lord help me! She's shimmying... and DD is joining in

LilRedWG · 27/03/2008 17:03

Would I be an awful parent if I turned it off?

JingleyJen · 27/03/2008 17:07

I can't cope with it.. DS is really loving it...
LilRedWG if you turn it off I will......
