To want to give up teaching for more holidays?

I know that’s contradictory but we have preschool children and while I’ve been on maternity leave it’s been so nice to have holidays in term time.

Is it insane to think of giving up? I know it is really …

I'm a teacher and I get it. I'll be missing my little boy's nursery graduation. Holidays cost a fortune. And during the school holidays childcare is 100% on me.

@FUPAgirl i am sorry if you feel I wasted anyone’s time but I said nothing about changing career.

No one is ‘moaning.’ I am just explaining I know I can’t take term time holidays which does mean we’re a bit restricted in where we can go and what we can do. That’s not a moan, it is just how things are.

Rather than give up teaching, could you drop part time? You can do more short holidays eg. Thursday-Sunday and they'd be cheaper in term time, yet you'd still get the school holidays with DC for a longer break.

Cheap term time holidays are doable examples of some I've done. It takes a lot of investigating and keeping eyes out
