Light hearted !

Upstairs with my 2 babies. Hear door knock. Desperately I hope DH who is downstairs will go as I don’t want to wake the babies . But I hear no movement . So I stupidly jump and run to the window to see the delivery drive away!!!! I woke the babies in the process. Arghhh

It is the first time in almost 3 years I have ordered new clothes after living in leggings ! I actually mean this. I finally bit the bullet after months of lurking at clothes and paid for next day delivery and I missed it .

DH sat at kitchen table claims he didn’t hear the door go! Yet I heard it from upstairs and now need to drive to collect the parcel 25
mins away but can’t collect until Saturday !

I could just explode ! Ahahahhash!!

@sockmuncher right?! My husband is away and texted me yesterday to see if a package was delivered and I had no clue, I’d been working without any breaks all day and couldn’t remember if I’d heard the door at all. Hopefully he wouldn’t bollock me for that!

Women hate men on Mumsnet so I'm absolutely not surprised at some of the batshit responses.

Treating their spouse like shit must be the norm in their houses.

Happens in my house all the time!
Although if was in and expecting a delivery I'd do my best to answer the door myself.
Get the app for next time. Can change delivery date, add a neighbour as back up etc.

It was some light hearted fun! I have two under 2 and trying to creep out of their room is a nightmare BUT I should have just run to the door as I woke them anyway ! Of course not DH’s fault but I was desperate to try my new clothes on and wear some this weekend as I’m concerned people may feel I’m stitched into my leggings !

I always let DH know if I’m expecting a parcel as he won’t anewer the door while he’s working from home if it isn’t for us. We end up being the parcel depot for most of the street some days. We also get chuggers going round and one time one wouldn’t leave despite me saying ‘sorry I’m at work just now.’ He pushed door open and held it open, we’re quite busy during the day as we work full time even if it is at home.
