If you have DC in their 20's, can I ask if they still live in the family home?

OP posts:

The OP asked the question in January and then had no further input into the thread. So why has it been resurrected and why are people still responding?😒

Because it pops up in active threads and people tend to look at the posts rather than the dates of the posts.

No. One bought a house a couple of years ago and the other is in a shared rental in another part of the country.

Yes, my 22 and 21 year olds are still at home. I hope they stay for as long as they need to and save as much money as they can.

I wonder what planet some live on these days. I moved out of home on a small income in 1999 into a 2 bed mortgaged house - london £83k. That same house is now £375k. Wages haven't increased thar much + the cost of living crisis. My DC can't afford to move out fir years even if renting it would be £1k+ for a 1 bed within 20 miles. Pie in sky

My two eldest have moved out. I have a 26 year old still at home for now.

My younger son moved out last July when he bought his own house. He was 28.
