Have a Samsung Galaxy A12 and going to upgrade to the A14 later.

I don't want to pay the cost of an I phone. Can I ask what those without I phones have please?
Anyone got Samsung?
Anyone gone from A12 to A14 or any other recommendations?

Thanks.

I'm a real geek when it comes to stuff like this.

https://www.gsmarena.com/search.php3?

I used this website to specify all the features I want in a phone, and keep whittling it down until I'm just left with half a dozen, and then compare individual models. I always have Samsungs, but in compare I can see that the A41 is only slightly less than the S23, maybe only a chipset difference, or 40mp camera instead of 60pm, and I can decide whether I think the extra price is really worth it. I've been using this site for years.

NB. It will show you some international phones not always available in the UK, but perhaps available imported on eBay.

Me neither.

You don’t have to pay a lot for an iPhone, you can get ones second hand or refurbished for £300 or less: IPhone 8 - 11.

I have a Google Pixel 7 Pro and it's bloody amazing. Prior to that I had Samsung for a good few, years, and before that HTC, which I'm not sure even exist any more.

HTC pulled out of the UK over an intellectual property issue. AFAIK they still sell phones in other countries.

It's a shame, I really liked their phones.

Currently have a Google Pixel 3a - looking to upgrade as I've had it for nearly four years now. Will probably replace it with another Pixel.

The Google phones are small, when you use the phone to go online all the time, prefer a bigger screen.

The I phones are quite heavy.

Comparing phones at work recently and I'm sure the Google one was the largest, how big do you need it to be?

I've got a Nokia X20 (I think). It's Android which I love but has the build quality of the old Nokias plus much less of the "bloatware" that other manufacturers' phones have. The screen is a good size and Nokia has various green initiatives with their phones, regarding updates and ensuring they are supported. The battery life is also really good.

Also, bigger screen means you need bigger hands to operate it single-handed...particularly thumb length.

I used to be Samsung all the way but swapped to a Google Pixel 6a as it was cheaper than the Samsungs and I love it. The Pixels are pretty similar to the Samsungs.

You will never meet anybody who works in IT with an iPhone, and there's a reason for that.
