The acting is second to none

It's great, but I'd say that Severance and For All Mankind are better, if only because just looking at Gary Oldman's character makes my mind conjure up very unwelcome smells.

Yep the S3 Finale was not good, but overall Slow Horses is one the best series I've seen in a while. Well worth the subscription imo. I'm now watching Bad Sisters which is also very good.

I thoroughly enjoyed the books but absolutely LOVE the series! Gary Oldman is utter perfection in his role - the whole cast are bloody brilliant!

The books (ok in my case audio books) are even better - esp the third series one. And the most recent book is no exception.

It’s amazing!!! Full of humour and incredible acting. So glad there’s a season 4 & 5 coming! If you’ve read Spook Street then you’ll know season 4 is going to be the best one yet.

All the cast are excellent - of course Gary Oldman is superb but I love Standish, River, Kristen ST, all of them really. It’s such a smart script.

It's so funny, I love it. Gary Oldman has the best lines. And he is such an amazing actor. Whatever he's in it always take you a while to realise who he is. Reinvents himself completely for every role.

Spook Street is a stupendous read - cannot wait to see it adapted for the screen. (I started reading the novels halfway through s3 on TV.)

Is it the best thing on TV? No … Some characters are underwritten or stereotyped (possibly for comedic effect but it jars). Some aspects of the novels become a tiny bit repetitive and formulaic. Both of these things are improved by screen adaptation. Jackson Lamb is a great, great character on TV - but I don’t entirely believe in some of the others. It’s witty and amusing and very exciting, but …
