to feel that John Lewis is pulling a very fast one by no longer stocking paper muffin cases

... because they are 'environmentally unfriendly'?

Instead, I was strongly encouraged to buy silicone muffin cases, £5.95 for a set of four. Obv to fill one muffin tray, I'd need three sets. At a cost of £17.85. I seem to remember that 100 paper muffin cases used to cost £1.99 or thereabouts.

Is it just me, or is this slightly ?

Will Lakeland oblige if you are looking for paper muffin cases??

Environmental soapbox stances taken up by companies always seem to end up costing the customer ...

don't supermarkets sell them in the home baking section, next to cake cases? Or is it something different?
