Shamelessly posting here for traffic because it's clear from reading past posts that there are always people who miss the deadline for whatever reason, which is clearly then an immensely stressful experience. Worth it if it helps someone!

Completely unrelated but the idea that Covid babies are starting primary school this September has really messed with my sense of time.

Mine is one and I can't believe it's come around so quickly

Even though I submitted mine at new year, I'm.still panicking about this! DD was 6 monthsish when COVID rolled in.

DD will be the oldest in the year and has been ready for a year...roll on April and finding out.

Tea time bump to remind you to open the application now so you can complete it and get it sent off when the little monsters are all in bed. 😉

I've done mine but now I feel totally paranoid that it's not been submitted properly!

Check your emails and you should have a confirmation.

I think I've checked my inbox about 2379 times at this point.

I felt the same to the extent I looked at my account online. (Cue panic and an email to the cc to check that I had really submitted it and that the email they sent me when I submitted it a few weeks ago was real).

Fingers crossed for everyone submitting for entry this year. I keep getting told that it is a low birth year, so in many places there are more spaces than kids for the first time in a while.

Will anyone be doing a waiting or offers day support thread?

Yes I was thinking about this today.

I listen to Parenting Hell and that started in lockdown (along with Tiger King and banana bread!)

I was thinking how HARD those years must be and how those children would be now.

I can't speak for everyone but it was awful and lonely in the early days but having taught those children who missed part of their schooling I'm at least thankful that hopefully DS shouldn't be impacted once he's actually at school. I guess looking for the silver lining.

Also I'd definitely be up for a thread waiting for offers day I think I'll be one of those staying up until midnight frantically checking and refreshing.

I do, I'm still paranoid! Doesn't help that I have twins and the emails don't include a name so I keep worrying that I've maybe submitted the same child twice. 😀

Having babies during lockdown was incredibly hard for lots of reasons, particularly the loneliness, relentlessness and missing out on wider family time. I was also really bitter that birth dates meant we missed out on the lowered restrictions for young children (the bubbling thing I think it was if they were born after Dec 19 or similar) by a matter of days.

However, similarly to you looking for the silver lining, I do feel lucky that at least I was on mat leave and I didn't have to work while nurseries and schools were closed!
