Washing powder making me red and itchy - or not?!

Only posting in AIBU for traffic, but I guess my AIBU is am I being unreasonable to wonder how quickly a change of washing powder can affect your nether regions? I always use non-bio, mostly own brand, sometimes persil, depends on what's on offer. I opened Sainsbury's non-bio on New Year's Day and since yesterday morning I've been worrying about having thrush, or something similar. I don't think I've used Sainsbury's non-bio before. I haven't had thrush for years so trying to remember what it feels like! There's no discharge, just really red and sore. But could it take over a week for the washing powder to have an effect? So, anyone had this and should I go out and buy a washing powder I know I'm OK with and wash all my pants, or should I be getting thrush treatment. Thanks.

You can get an allergy to something at any time.
I had something similar and found out it was the "new and improved" toilet paper that we were using!

Thanks @henrysugar12 - how long did it then take for the soreness to clear up once you stopped using that toilet paper?

Pretty much within a couple of days!
I've had allergies to laundry detergent before but my whole body was affected- apart from where my underwear was... it was the bedding at a hotel!
