And a kratje bier to go with the wine:-)
I think the 'Maggie .... duck' could be noodles in a cup.

Oh how fab.

After the last shopping list thread, I started adding weird stuff to the bottom of mine like 'foxes noses' or 'left-handed bananas' and leaving the list in the bottom of my trolley.

I intentionally leave mine behind, too. I also put 'naice ham' on, regardless of if I need ham or not!

DP won't let me put the divider longways at the checkout. He thinks it looks 'confrontational' Grin

Just through le Tunnel and ge-opened this thread. God I love an Albert Heijn. We called in for Ei Salade and Tonijn salade. And DH koop some heerlike cordiaal. After spending time with my nederlands vriendin I realise the secret to Dutch salads is equal parts mayo to anything else.

Oh I love an Albert Heijn too. DD used in live in central Amsterdam and it was lovely to pop out to the shop for something. Lovely pastries, world food, interesting salads... so easy to have lovely food on the go.

By contrast, there's a manky Spar that smells of damp where I live. We Brits really don't aspire to much, do we?

That Fuse peach ice tea is bloody lovely. I drink that by the bucketload when over there.

I'd call gebraden gehakt 'haslet' - very similar to what I was served as a kid (Scotland).

Love that 'tonight's dinner' is next to both red and white wine! I reckon they are having people over to drink that crate of beer!

I do a lesson in school where I give the kids a shopping list and they have to make up the story of the person it belongs to. Have had some great writing from it.

What a wonderful idea for creative writing. I love this!
