Name change and i need to finally know if this is normal.

All my panties end up like this including the cheap ones and the expensive ones.

Why?
Anyone else?

Why the warning in your header? They're just knickers, you see them everywhere.

MrsSkylerWhite · 02/01/2024 19:57

Nope. Nearly 60, not happened once.

On reflection, it looks like you’re wearing them so perhaps you’re getting a weird kick out of the replies.

Think you are right there

Saschka · 02/01/2024 19:57

If you are calling them panties, are you on the US? And are you therefore using bleach on your clothes? Honestly that looks like chemical damage, or it has been caught in machinery.

gamerchick · 02/01/2024 19:57

This is a ... weird thing to post about.

Has not noticed this, but yep. Yuck. Reported.

No OP. Over time the double gusset might come adrift at the sides but this is after 6 plus years of washin on 60 degrees

soupfiend · 02/01/2024 20:00

I throw mine out before they get as bad as that, but yes the start to rip, normally at the seams

Shoddy

holypanties232425 · 02/01/2024 20:00

They always end up like that within a month or two. I used to bin them but ita such a waste lol.

Rarely tumble dry in summer but definitely often in winter and i do use bio.

My knickers do that too - but I chuck them when they start to go.

holypanties232425 · 02/01/2024 20:06

Ive been on mumsnet for 10 plus yrs and in that time i have seen various types of discharge and bloody shows etc A picture of panties with a bit of bare leg is tame

I'd rather tear shreds out of myself and be turned into a duster than be referred to as a panty.

Ohnotyoutoo · 02/01/2024 20:16

Do you itch a lot? And what temp do you wash your clothes at?

This happens under my armpits, I'm forever getting holes just like in the photo you posted. I assume it's an acidic sweat!

ManateeFair · 02/01/2024 20:17

Nope.

Also the word ‘panties’ makes my bits clamp shut like a bulldog clip.

holypanties232425 · 02/01/2024 20:21

I mostly wash at 40 but at times 60 if needs be. I do itch tho but not lots

What's wrong with panties? All my friends and family call them that ( not that we chat much about them) I always think knickers sounds worse
