Cant decide

Maybe not this but didn't know where to place it

need some advice as I am crap at deciding

My choir group folded so have had to find a new one. And now I have a choice between two

One is a well know choir we will call choir a . the other a more more local one we will call choir b

A has a daytime session so could fit it round school and it's term time based.

B is an evening on a day I work meaning I wouldn't see children on that day

Both similar sorts of music and b is £114 cheaper a year than a.

I can't decide which one I prefer. I don't drive so would get a bus to a but a friend would take me to b and back.

I have booked a taster session for both to see which I prefer but don't want to do it on money alone and don't want to seem greedy If I pick the more expensive one

Any advice appreciated

Thanks

If money isn’t an issue I’d hold off making a decision until you’ve done your taster sessions. You might find you like the atmosphere of one far more than the other.

You won’t seem greedy if you pick group A; it’s less than £3 a week extra and if it has a nicer atmosphere, you’ll enjoy it more, so it’s worth it if you can afford it.

The transport thing is a non issue as buses will run regularly throughout the day, so you’re unlikely to get stranded anywhere.

And not spending one evening a week with your DC will be good for everyone. It will remind you that you’re more than ‘just’ a mum and it will remind them that you’re a person too.

don't want to seem greedy If I pick the more expensive one seem greedy to who?!

I also wondered about why you’d seem greedy? It’s a relatively small difference, and hardly oysters and champagne!

Choirs are all about the people. Go to both and see who feel like your crew.

It's just over £2/week difference, so nothing really. Go to both sessions and don't factor money into it - just see if you prefer the vibe/friendliness of the group of one over the other, and if no real difference weigh up practicalities fitting around your routine.
