I sell a fair bit on eBay and vinted . Clothes my kids have grown out off. I'm at a loss as some items cost £40
New and I sell for £1.50 saying that it never totals up to over 1k a year . I think unread if you sell
More than 30
Items a year on Vinted you need to do a tax return. I think it's bad for normal people who don't want to send items to
Land fill also I buy loads it's the only way I can afford to clothe my kids and myself

Well this won't affect you, as you are not trading.

Hilarious that the government spend money monitoring this, but are quite happy to not chase after their mates who they gave billions dollars PPE contracts to and didn't deliver, or the billions that was fraudulently claimed in furlough payments etc! One rule for the average Joe and another rule for those multi millionaires who like to tax dodge!

This. Outrageous.

Coatofarms my dh said I should keep a record just in case , I didn't think so but obviously don't want hmrc calling me up out of the blue either! I watch a few resellers on you tube and I know they definitely do everything by the book as they did a step
By step tax return video

If you're selling enough of your own second hand clothes to take you over the 1,000 mark then it's worth keeping some records to show that that's what you were doing.
