How many calories do you eat a day?

I've been eating between 1900-2150 a day, I do at least an hour of exercise 6 days a week.
I am a healthy BMI and slim, but I notice I'm bloated, wobbly belly and thighs and I don't feel good.
It may be due to my period which is now in its 8th day, as I seem to be bloated for the duration of it.
My diet could be better, I am teetotal and have been for most of my life (I'm in my 30s), however I do eat a lot of sugar/refined carbs.
I am 100% addicted to sugar.. constant chocolate around the office doesn't help!
I know I don't need to lose weight, but I feel sluggish and not good in myself at present.
Would be interested to know what you think a healthy number of calories would be as I'm possibly eating too many?

I genuinely don't know but I think it's roughly around 2,500. I'm tall-ish and have a relatively fast metabolism.

There's a calorie calculator which tells you how many calories you need roughly to maintain your current weight.
I only need 1600-1700 to maintain mine though I never count my calories. I eat what I need to when I need to.

But it's good to have a general idea.
Because if I went by the recommended 2000kcal per day for women, I would put on a couple of pounds per month as I'd be over eating by 300-400 calories per day.

Which is 2.5 stone per year! Just by overeating by 350 extra calories per day.

Not the foggiest clue. I don’t know how many calories is in anything or have any way of measuring it. My smartwatch likes to tell me my calorie “spend” but I don’t believe that for a second especially as I don’t know how much I weigh so I just put a guess in. I eat whatever I feel like eating and I know that for the last few weeks that’s been too much, so I will consciously rein that in until I feel more comfortable in my skin again, but that’s the extent of my dieting/calorie knowledge.

I'm the same - I've never counted calories in my life, and have no intention of ever doing so - and I don't even have a smartwatch. I've been eating too much over the festive season so will rein that in for a while until I feel I'm at an acceptable weight. It's really not difficult, is it?

I haven't got a clue, I couldn't even tell you the calorific content of anything.
I just eat what I fancy at the time, some days I'm not particularly hungry so eat very little and other days I'll eat like a half starved piranha.
I don't know how much I weigh as I've never weighed myself, my GP always seems happy with my weight though.
I don't have a watch thingy.

Lots of sugar is bad for your teeth. Also empty calories.

Too many!

I never calculated calories until I started dieting a few months ago using an app to calorie count and realised just how much I must have been eating, 2,300 - 3,000 a day I recon was probably an average (no wonder I’m fat!). I’m late 30s, 5ft 2in and my goal weight is 9st. My app tends to recommend an average of between 1,360 - 1,600 calories a day depending on how much exercise / movement I’ve done that day so I’ve been aiming for and achieving around 1,400 or under most days though I do hit the 2,000 mark once a week as I’ll have a cheat day! I work in a fairly manual job, have a little dog that gets short walks and now also go to the gym 2 mornings a week for around 45mins. I’ve been losing weight steadily using these figures and achieved 1 1/2 stone pre-christmas. I’m also a sugar junkie and over Christmas I’ve been off work and not been gym or logged my intake and eaten a ton of crap and I can tell the difference, I can’t really describe it I just feel ‘off’ and a big ‘ugh’. I’m dreading getting on the scales. First thing Monday I’ll def be getting back on the wagon because just I don’t feel as good as I was doing, I def think its all the sugar. If I did a more sedentary job I imagine I’d need to be hitting 1,300 calories or below on a regular basis in order to not be over weight.
