I've been shaving as i like being completely bald but it's a faff and I would like to know how to make it easier.
I've looked at some bikini trimmers but it's a minefield to me. Would really appreciate some recommendations.

Nair.

Spread it.
Leve it.
Wipe it.

Done.

Psychoticbreak · 27/12/2023 12:23

Veet and I use a scrubbing mitt to take it off.

Santaisscouringindeedfornewjob · 27/12/2023 12:25

Read the instructions carefully.. Dh decided he wanted his off for our honeymoon.. Waited until we were in our gorgeous swanky hotel room. Left it on too long.... Bleeding balls aren't sexy.... Not quite the moans and groans I was hoping for..

Whatineed · 27/12/2023 12:26

Laser treatment with a medical grade laser. The decades I've wasted on waxing, sugaring, Veet, shaving would have paid for complete laser treatment 5 times over.

Rainbowhairanddontcare · 27/12/2023 12:28

I've used hair removal cream also (woo woo) but it's not that effective now the hairs are only just growing back. It was great on first use when my bush was really hairy! It stinks too.
Is there any lady shavers/razors that work well enough or do they leave some regrowth?

I think the trouble will always be that there's 3 broad camps of hair removal.

Shaving & creams etc remove down to skin really.
Epilators & wax etc pull the hair out of the follicle.
Lazer or hand held IPL machines damage the follicle to reduce or stop growth.

Epilators and wax will get smoother but... May lead to pain and punching the aesthetician in the back of the head.. (don't do that.. 🤣)

Lazers or IPL may be the best option if you want truly smooth OP. Bit ore of a faff than a razor, but less punchy than waxing.

Wax 100%. Dropped back to shaving to try and save money but nope waxer for life here

honeylulu · 27/12/2023 13:06

Laser treatment. Costly and takes several treatments but the advanced tech means it can be pretty much pain free now. And should be permanent. I've had treatments and barely any left. I reckon two more and I'm done.

Can't bear the fast regrowth and prickly feeling of shaving. Waxing too painful on the innermost parts. Cream OK but doesn't last long and stings on the delicate bits!

Does anyone have any at home laser recommendations?

I tried the Lumea, it worked ok but I have quite dark hair.

It is worth reviewing which machines are best for your hair type and skin colour etc.
If you've light skin and light hair it may not work as well for you. Dark hair and light skin or Dark hair and dark skin find good results I think. Fine light hair and darker skin may struggle.

It's been a while since I knew anything about anything though so.. yeah.
The good machines are not cheap, avoid NoNo, they just singe hair I reckon.

So Google, then Google and then Google some more and then ask on Style and Beauty on here and then Google again and then think screw it, buy one and try it.

I use veet prefer it to shaving
Never waxed and not sure bout getting naked to get it done 😂
Those lumias look good but think I'm too fair

FelicityBeedle · 27/12/2023 16:00

My DP
I hate shaving so I’ve delegated, he either does the veet for me or shaves me, it’s actually quite sexy

Wateroverwine · 27/12/2023 16:35

Laser treatment is the best you can get good deals on Groupon

wanttoplayboardgames · 27/12/2023 16:39

I've always wondered, when using cream removals, do you do the 'undercarriage' foo, so like from landing strip all the way to bum? The thought of putting chemicals down there scares me, but I'm so over shaving and inrowing hairs!

Don’t you need to leave the hair to grow to about half a cm before you can wax again?

I’ve always shaved but I’m sick of it.

Giraff3 · 27/12/2023 17:07

I used to get a hollywood wax but then decided to try laser at a clinic. Every 6 weeks i went for 2 years without any break. Yes the hair has thinned out alot, but its not gone completly. I am the perfect candidate for this, dark hair, pale skin ect but its never 100% guarentee permanent removal (small print)

So im starting back in january with getting a wax every 6 weeks instead.

YesThatsATurdOnTheRug · 27/12/2023 17:09

@FelicityBeedle oh dear god. I must be such a prude but that gives me the absolute shivers 😂

Laser all the way. It's been expensive but so worth it!

autumn1610 · 27/12/2023 17:16

@Igotagoodcard yeah you do have to let it grow back I think it’s about 1/4” or a grain of rice. I’ve been on and off doing it for years and it does come back less the longer you do it. But I’m not too fussed as I’m hair free a lot longer than with shaving - usually a good few weeks. I can feel regrowth after a couple of days
