WWYD - Lodger Rubbish

Lodger moving out this week. New lodger moving in NYE.

Bin already over flowing and haven’t read the card thingy on the wheelie bin to see when next collection is.

Current lodger has already taken most of his stuff, he’s been a great lodger with no issues. I gave him his deposit back last week so he had the money for Xmas (he’s moving in with his gf).

Went into the garden this morning and it’s covered in rubbish as he has put four bin bags by the bin, not tied up and the wind has blown everything everywhere.

There is no way the binmen are going to take it all and also anticipate there being a load of mine from tomorrow so I am going to have to take it all to the dump.

I am pissed off as it’s inconsiderate and selfish but should I just take it on the chin, or, do I text him and ask him to come and get it and take it to the tip? Or is that petty?

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure @InstantDestiny.

Anyway it is a shame he treated you like that and took advantage of your good nature in the end.

Actually, we don't really know that no-one wouldn't want a free working kettle, bedding and clothes. All that and more are sold at my good local charity shop.

You have a lodger and you gave back their deposit before even seeing what condition things were left in. Lesson learnt for you.

Either way you wouldn’t be able to do/say anything about him leaving rubbish by the bin.

This. You could ask when he is coming to clean and return key.
