Quick question really-I ordered Item 1 a couple of weeks back, no issues at all.
I ordered item 2 a bit late in the day, so ended up paying extra for next day delivery-unfortunately, have been notified it has been shipped but will not arrive until after Christmas. Its a present, but it isn't the end of the world-but I paid quite a bit extra for the delivery, so contacted Amazon to refund postage only (it would have been free delivery had I not asked for next day).
Customer service rep was brilliant and offered full refund inc. Postage and told me I could keep item. Woke up today to find I have been refunded for item 1 (different seller entirely). I have phoned Amazon and told them-they have admitted their mistake and to do nothing-have email to confirm-but I am worried the seller of Item 1 will now lose out on cost of item/it will affect their seller metrics when they have done nothing wrong.
Does anyone know if Amazon will cover the cost of the wrong refund/protect seller as their mistake? I don't want them to be penalised!
