Perishable pressie

I’m really fortunate to be spending Christmas abroad this year with a couple of beloved family members; I’ll be flying out on Friday and returning a week later, and I’m really looking forward to it.

One of my close friends messaged me earlier to ask if she could pop around before I leave, to drop me in my Christmas present (some sweet treats). She often bakes biscuits and makes truffles to give as gifts. Ordinarily I would love this, but as I’m going away I won’t be here to eat them and the biscuits will definitely be past their best after a week. My tiny freezer is full at the moment, otherwise I would happily freeze them. I reminded her that I wouldn’t be at home to enjoy them for a week, and said that I didn’t want them to go to waste, and she replied that I should bring them abroad with me! She’s known for a few weeks that i’ll be away - AIBU to feel a bit annoyed that she’s giving me a big box of perishable food when she knows I’m going away?

It wouldn’t have killed you to say ‘that would be lovely, thank you very much’.
Bin them if you like, she’ll never know, but it’s a bit rude to be so difficult about accepting them.
