6 months after losing DP, at 10.10pm last night I gave birth to our beautiful DD.
little Lucy :( 5lb 5oz and I can’t wait for her big brother n sister to meet her :)

Congratulations OP but my goodness what a difficult time to lose your DP, I'm so sorry.

My own DF died before I was old enough to have memories of him. My DM talked about him lots and I have always felt connected to him and grateful for having a wonderful dad even though he wasn't there for my upbringing. As a result, I didn't feel like I was missing out and I have always had very healthy and positive relationships with men as an adult. Obviously the situation is less than ideal but I am sure your beautiful DD will turn out to be as strong and amazing as you sound (based on the positivity in your posts!).
