Is this a shit present for my dogwalker's baby?

I have bought my wonderful dogwalker a nice Christmas present: an insulated coffee cup and posh chocolates.
Then I thought I should buy a wee thing for his 11 month baby son. They're Polish and don't have family here, so it's always an extra present for under the tree.
I didn't have much to spend on this - and I haven't met the wee boy - but this is what I bought. A set of soft, squidgy, colourful plastic animals and a dinosaur book. I'm now a bit worried that it looks like a cheap and crappy gift.
In fact, I'm guessing you might not be happy with this and would prefer something classy and/or wooden.
