To think dental bonding should last more than a year?

So I had composite bonding done to cover a very small chip in my front tooth. About a year ago. The whole tooth was filled, whereas the first time I had it done (it chipped ten years ago) they only covered the small area, not my full tooth. And the bonding lasted nearly ten years. This time, the full tooth was covered (much more expensive obviously). the bonding has now come off, revealing the chip again. AIBU to think there should be no charge for fixing this? From my last experience and research, bonding lasts a minimum of three to five years. Or is it expected that I suck it up and pay again?

Bonding on your front teeth can chip fairly easily and a year is a fairly long time tbh.

Can you get a veneer instead to be longer lasting?

My dentist told me even biting into an ice lolly can be enough to make them start to come away. You have to treat your bonded teeth like glass. No apples, no opening packets, no nail biting, no chewing pens, nothing at all on those teeth.
