To the think people who work in our local post office are nothing more than.....

USELESS FUCKWITS!!!!

I am STEAMING angry. My daughter recently put through a passport application - and paid the extra seven pounds for the thing to be checked at the post office. I have just received a letter from the pass port people who told me that one of the details was incorrect and now she has to send her birth certificate in. Surely the point of this check is to ensure that no errors have been made at the time and things like date of birth, place of birth have been checked????? I would normally pass this off as a genuine mistake but these people must have gone through some vigorous screening to get that job. The number one priority being that they are as unhelpful, unfriendly and downright rude as they can possibly be, without actually telling you to fuck off we cant be bothered to help you . It now looks like my daughter is going to miss out on a trip to spain with her boyfriend (which was going to be a free trip and she bloody well deserves a break) she is devestated.

I am so angry, and to add insult to injury it would appear that the woman at the passport office, clearly went to the same obnoxiousness training school. Honestly, these people were clearly either bullied at school or are very unsatisfied with their station in life and try to lord it over people and talk to you ilke you are an idiot. Well clearly it is not me who is the idiot, as if i were doing that job i would have read the application back to the customer to ensure things like birth date were correct. OK so my daughter obviously made a mistake filling the form in, and that was her mistake, but that is the whole point of paying an extra seven pounds on top of the ridiculous amount of money to renew the passport in the first place, to have these fuckwits CHECK the form. CHECK, you know, make sure it is right, not just give it a cursory glance and say, yeah thats ok, because you are bored out of your miniscule mind and thinking about what to watch on telly when you get home from the job you clearly hate.

Sorry to any competent friendly post office workers out there, i mean, there must be some, mustn't there???

It was a general ponder LEM.

Like I said I've observed both sides.

lapin, thankyou so much for that - it just beggars the question then WHY couldnt the woman from the passport office say to me, when i asked if this would be a problem, either, it will be OK dont worry, or hmmm, i cant garuntee this will be OK so here are some other options she might consider even though they might cost more?? Perhaps she was having a bad day??

Must admit my POs are round my way are mostly fine except for one clerk who used to ask me things like 'is that in Southern Ireland?' when I was selling books on Amazon (Don't know, why don't you look it up?) or the famous time when they insisted that I pass the book through for them to stamp it for me, and they put the postage on the wrong side.... I had to resend it the next day with a large TO and FROM on the front and rear of the parcel .

They're quite good with the oldens though - just as well as they get 1000s of them on pension days.

lapin, thanks again - i have phoned a different number and the lady was lovely, and said that if she pays another £25 she can upgrade to a fast track, one week application and it will all be OK
