Am I being naive to think I’m out of the woods with sleep? Or can I relax?

Lone parent to dd 14 months. Sleep has been ok the last few months. Sometimes wakes at night but quick to settle. I am stressed out of my mind with returning to work and long days. Someone said in passing that the worst sleep could be yet to come!!! Is this true? Should I be prepared for this? Honestly don’t know how I would manage

You're never out of the woods, but my daughter was a good sleeper from about 6 months old and she's 4 now and unless she's really ill she still always sleeps well.

Do I need to? Bits of teeth tearing through gums for weeks on end will likely cause your darling sleepy blissful child to turn into a satanic sleep steeling demon.

You'll probably be ok, except for teething and illness. Cutting molars does seem to hurt them a lot (understandably!) but realistically that's only a week or so for each one, and then they're done. Calpol is your friend. My son had all his just after his second birthday, although I know that was fairly early.

You kind of just cope with it, the same as you did in the newborn days.

Nightmares can kick in around 3, that's fun 🙄But again, not forever.
