I'm absolutely raging, dp has a habit of blindly throwing stuff out (( hoards shit like random, ancient trainers that are more hole than trainer tho ))

He's got previous for this going back as far as I can remember. I once intercepted a bag fullnof the kids baby photos and brand new packs of socks that he'd swept up in a pile.

And here we are again. Last week I ordered some tat from temu, dp was decorating whilst I took ds out. He cleared the room and the obvious thing in the big box he put up stairs but the less obvious bag containing an I love nutella spoon for my sons stocking and a Christmas tree star that looks like the Mario star has now gone. (( wasnt expecting much but its surprisingly good )) And I just know he's pissing binned it, because that's what he pissing does.

Was it my fault for leaving it downstairs?? Yes, yes it was but ffs, to add insult to injury he was sat playing snooking on his PlayStation. Well I say was, he crapped himself and shot off to look for it after I'd let rip.......grrr.

And no. I don't think its weaponised incompetence, he just fucking bumbles clumsily through life. Its like living with the bloke on some mothers do Ave em. 😑😤😤😤

exhibit b - my brand new mascara and a pair of earrings for my DM which had fallen out of a shopping bag (I hadn’t realised) so got thrown because he “thought they were rubbish as they were
on the floor”

He sounds so annoying

Are you leaving a mess everywhere and he's sick of seeing it all? Otherwise it's incredibly random of him to go out of his way to throw these things away...

This.

OP must be buying/hoarding crap and DH is binning stuff without asking because he knows he'll get a bollocking if he asks.

I can't see any other explanation.

Mooshroo · 04/12/2023 19:38

I’d throw out shit bought on Temu too.

Hell no I'm not a hoarder, quite the opposite I'm pretty brutal when it comes to getting rid of stuff. If I buy something new I always get rid of what I'm replacing etc.

The parcel was on the side, I'd opened it and gone out. It was literally one big box with a make up organiser thing and a bag with smaller bits in, he's put the box upstairs as he was painting and hoofed what he obviously thought was the empty bag in the bin.

Oh and the baby photos thing happened when I'd emptied a drawer out on a table (( we all have one, it was a mix of letters, some photos my mum had given us, bits and bobs etc )) to sort through it . Well until dp and his magic binbag came along and just lobbed it without even looking at what it was.

If anyone hoards shite it's him, he still buys cds ffs. I've informed him the next time he needs help looking for something to not even think of asking me (( I'm more annoyed at him plonking his arse on the PlayStation than him binning my stuff tbh )) and that the next time his dad comes up with a bag of his childhood treasures they'll be getting tipped in the bin as well. Grrrr.
