AIBU to say Alison Hammond is much better than Matt Lucas in GBBO?

Just watching latest series of GBBO on catch up. Matt Lucas was not funny at all. Alison Hammond much funnier and more engaging to watch (IMHO)!

I thought she was a good addition, I didn’t especially warm to Matt and I never liked Sandy either.
I do miss Mel and Sue and Mary!
Really hate the smut though, I watch with my 11 year old and find it really unnecessary- it should be nice fun family friendly viewing, I don’t want to have to explain why they were all pissing themselves laughing about showing your beaver. It’s really fucking annoying.

I thought i didnt like her based only on the few clips I'd seen of her work. Too loud and flambouyant i though. But she is actually very nice and normal. She seems to just be herself in her interactions with the bakers and genuinely interested in them. I havent noticed her laugh as being annoying or false.

Too much, sorry. Too loud, too much…not right for the show. Wish her well though, she is smart and funny but too much for this show.
