What is biting me?

Please help!

I seem to be being absolutely eaten alive by something. It feels like midgie bites but obviously that isn’t really a thing in November.

Nobody else is being bitten, just me.

I do have small red raised dots in the itchy places.

Haven’t really been anywhere.

had antihistamines which stop the itch for a few hours. Tried hydrocortisone cream too, but it is such a big area (basically my entire torso!)

Been to pharmacist who was stumped.

Help!

Bed bugs. My husband never got bitten or he did and didn't react to the bites.

Indorex kills anything that bites - not just fleas.
Found that out by accident, now I spray the whole house annually.
Haven't seen a spider in years

Detached house so I doubt they have come from neighbours, I’ve thoroughly checked the bed and mattress for signs of bedbugs and I can’t find any. I was convinced it was bedbugs but pharmacist feels it isn’t. How did you know it was bedbugs?

Mine was detached too. You could have picked one up from another customer in a shop, like crawling onto your shoe. They travel easily and hide easily. They can fit in a crack, like where two pieces of wood meet and it looks like nothing could fit. If it is bed bugs you won't see them until the infestation is really bad, you'll eventually see one crawling out. You can't see them when they're hiding. I'm so disgusted I know this much about it! Yuck! I really hope that's not it for you! But even if it isn't, something is biting you, so maybe you should get pest control in regardless.

We do have a dog and I’ve blamed her too. I think it could be fleas but again, dog isn’t itching. I’ve tried checking her for fleas and I can’t see any but I guess they could be hiding. I might de-flea her anyway just to rule it out if nothing else.

Was that your leg in the photo?
our house had fleas once- from a car we were looking after.
I got covered. Mainly legs but other places too. No one else got bitten at all. Cat wasn’t scratching.
took me ages to work out what it was until I literally saw the fleas hopping on me. Was absolutely horrible. Had to get pest control round twice as they just wouldn’t go.

Cat not car

Has anyone said bird mites yet? My parents got them and my poor Dad was being bitten rotten, much more than my Mum. A bird died in the soffits of the house, just above their bedroom. Bird mites are tiny things, and thrive in carbon dioxide. Once the birds carcus had rotted away sufficiently so as not to be a source of CO² they then went after the next nearest source, which was my Dad's breathing as he slept, and migrated down the cavity were the aerial wire was, through the socket and into the bedroom next to where he was sleeping. Freak one a million chance? Nope! Because the exact same thing happened to OHs colleague, expect it was his poor Son who got bitten horrendously.

Check your gutters and makes sure there's no gaps in your soffits and facia boards. If there's a dead bird anywhere then get pest control out.
