My 14yr is bullied at school. Physical, emotional, and I want to know how the school are going to stop it happening.

So far they say if there is no witnesses, they can't do anything

Is it happening on school grounds? I’d want them to check the CCTV.

Look at the school policy, email them, quite relevant bits and ask for a meeting.

I would say that my expectation is that no child is left alone as the school have a duty of care to your child so they cant simultaneously be meeting that duty of care and not having any witnesses.

Is it your daughter or son?

This may be an unpopular opinion but if I had a son I'd 100% be teaching him to box. Even physically bigger kids wouldn't be an issue then. Obv violence is a last resort but sometimes bullies just need a bloody nose to nip it in the bud.

Unfortunately they are trying to hide from the problem. This isn't a court of law. They will know from previous interaction and pupil history as to what the truth is likely to be and initiate discussions and warnings. Unfortunately some teachers and heads of are if a very poor standard when dealing with such issues

So sorry to hear this. The school won't do anything. Can you homeschool?

Honestly they won’t be able to do anything. Once a bully focuses on your kid it’s very unlikely to change.

Edited

It changed immediately when I gave my bully a bloody nose!
