DD does gymnastics and with popular gym and another type of gymnastics with a smaller company. Smaller company has their senior students take part in the bigger gyms huge Xmas display.

However smaller gym is wanting 17.99 for t shirt and leggings to perform in "mini" Xmas display, It will be during class hours and only the parents of the class are watching. AIBU to think they are taking the piss expecting parents to pay nearly £20 for clothing for a 3 min dance, and not part of the big Xmas display?

Will this t-shirt and leggings be suitable to use at future practice sessions, or even as day to day clothes? If the answer is 'yes', and you can afford, then get it. If it's for a one off, and not suitable for anything else then I'd be reluctant.

Just don't do it. It's likely that they are fundraising though.

They haven't shown us the outfit, so I have no idea if it's something that can be worn again. They initially had said just T-shirts at the cost of £10 and have now changed it. now asking us to pay by the weekend so they can order the outfit
