To let 11 year old make sushi

I know this sounds extreme but I’m not confident with him using a very sharp knife and secondly it’s our dinner and I bought quite expensive ingredients and don’t want him to ruin it or stop my other dcs eating it if it doesn’t look right (they’re picky).

I know you have since mentioned salmon and fish, but I'd just like to point out to those commenting, that sushi does not necessarily mean a fish dish.

I think you should let him, hope you all enjoy it.

Thing is he doesn’t know

He won't learn younger. Leave him be.

Ds does this but has been cooking since he was young so I'm happy with him using sharp knives and I supervise.
