Is it normal for Halfords not to give the manual when they’ve fitted the car seat?

What are you getting at? Are you implying that they are not competent to advise me on the most appropriate car seats for my needs? Or that I’m also not capable of reading up on the safety features of specific models?

I’m “getting at” the fact that they are not IOSH trained, and most of them have no car seat safety knowledge at all.

Their “service” was based on selling you any car seat. They don’t care about the safety of your child and more than likely the seat won’t have been fitted correctly because they receive no training as standard.

My original post was not about their customer service. It was about their lack of knowledge.

One would be a fool to trust that a) they recommended a safe car seat (they don’t sell ERF, so no, they didn’t) and b) they suitably fitted the car seat they hoodwinked you into buying (they receive no training as standard and none of them are IOSH trained).

Anyone who has done their research on car seat safety would not allow Halfords anywhere near their car or their child.
