Ambulance service issues statement
The Welsh Ambulance Service says it was called at about 10:08 GMT this morning to reports of an incident near the A4085 between Nantmor and Tan-Lan in Gwynedd.
“We sent an operations manager, two emergency ambulances and two Cymru High Acuity Response Units to the scene where we were supported by the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service in two Wales Air Ambulance charity helicopters," it said.

Oh no, the absolute worst news. Those poor boys, their poor poor families. Heartbreaking.

Just heard the update on the news - how terribly terribly sad and tragic ☹️☹️☹️

No speculation on this thread please. Nothing should be posted which might cause further distress to the boys' loved ones who might find it in the future. The other thread linked to by a pp has been closed and will hopefully be deleted given the amount of speculation and the nature of some of that.

As a mother, including of boys of a similar age going out into the world independently with their friends, my heart goes out to their loved ones and may the boys rest in peace.

I can hardly believe it.

I too am the mother of a teen boy. I cannot imagine what the families are going through. My heart breaks for them.
