I’m incredibly lucky to work in the film industry so I can watch unlimited films for free.

I enjoyed Evil Dead Rise may more than I thought I would have. The storyline was a good one and it had the perfect amount of gore. The opening scene of Evil Dead Rise alone was 10/10.

I’ve seen Talk To Me, Cocaine Bear, A Haunting in Venice and thought they were all easy watches.

I’m yet to watch The Nun 2, The Exorcist: Beliver. Incidious: The Red Door.

I didn’t even bother with Coweb. It looked absolutely shite!

I’ve just left the cinema having watch Thanksgiving and wow. It was SO good. A solid 8/10. It’s a straight slasher with a very decent amount of gore. It made you so uncomfortable, it had people squirming in their seats despite minimal jump scares. I’d recommend it to anyone who’s considering watching it. The trailer didn’t do it justice at all.

What horror films have you watched and enjoyed (or strongly disliked) this year?

Oh and The Power was very good, not sure if it was this year though. British horror, not the series based on the Naomi Alderman book.

Renfield was one I missed this year! I have no clue why I haven’t watched it but it was on my list of things to see in the cinema. Two people have mentioned it so I need to see it asap if it’s on streaming sites.

I haven’t heard of It Lives Inside so I’ll have a quick Google on what that’s about

Infinity Pool has been my favorite horror of this year. Mia Goth is superb in it.

I also enjoyed Jagged Mind.

The new Saw was entertaining, though doesn't hold a candle to the earlier ones.

I typically prefer psychological horrors of which there haven't been many good ones this year.

@yellowsmileyface I’m yet to watch Infinity Pool but it sounds like my kind of thing! I agree in regards to physiological horror, there hasn’t been much at all. Let’s see what 2024 brings us🤞

@BeverleyMacker I tried to give Terrifier 2 a chance last night and I just couldn’t get through it. I’m always happy to watch a bit of gore but I felt like the kills were happening for absolutely no reason if you get what I mean. So many people have enjoyed it though so I know I’m in the minority!
