Has anyone ever regretted buying a Merlin annual pass?

I'm
Looking at the silver one in Black Friday sale - it has 295 days you can use and is £129 to buy - we would need x4.

The places we would most likely try to use them are

Thorpe park
Chessington
Alton towers
Legoland
Warwick Castle
Sea Life
Madame Tussaud’s
The London dungeon
The London Eye

So it does seem like a good deal, but there isn't a guarantee we would make it to all these attractions and I was wondering if anyone got one and then didn't really end up using it?

Perhaps one of us should get the gold so we get free parking too?

Any thoughts views or tips before I make a final
Decision ?

I had one for the whole family for a couple of years a few years ago. It was well worth the initial cost, we stopped because we got
bored of the same theme parks.
Now I have one for just DS l, he has SEN so I get a free carers pass, we’ve had it 6 months and used it plenty of times at the theme parks and for the london attractions.

If you do it you can expand the places you visit- blackpool attractions are included and york dungeons and the Birmingham sealife and lego discovery and the one in Manchester

If you can afford it- do it

How close do you live to some of the attractions? Because if youre within an hours drive of somewhere then its easy to go there a couple of times ans get your money back that way just by going on random saturdays.

Probably 1.5hrs from most I've listed.

3 hours from Manchester / Blackpool etc

I’ve had quite a few years and have the platinum one now. We don’t go as much as some do (some people use every week) but we still get our moneys worth as you only have to go a handful of times as the day prices for those places are high. My Ds is autistic and what I like about it for us is that it means we go go for a shorter day more often, rather than paying gate price and feeling we have to get our moneys worth. Depending on where you live you could also, potentially call into places a couple of hours after school in summer, i know of some people who do this at legoland or chessington almost using it like a local play park. We are too far to do that but we used to go to Warwick castle Sunday mornings in the winter for a few hours when there wasn’t much else to do. Bear grylls is also included, mine mainly does that now he’s bit older

Cadburys world is now included as well

We had them for a year or two and really made the most of them - booked all our holidays around them and had a great time.

We had them for a couple of years and they were great years with lovely memories.
