Where can I go for 4K in December/January?

Just that really. Got a budget of 4K and a family of 5. Is there anywhere SUNNY that I can go for this money? We’ve not had a holiday since 2017 and this year the children break up on 22nd Dec which means we can see family first and do the Christmas stuff and then go on holiday.

We have to stick to Christmas holidays. Family of 5 is VERY different to taking a family of 4, I’m finding.

Finding it tricky, to be honest. Does anyone have any bright ideas? Have I left it too late?

Tenerife, or other Canaries, but generally expensive at Christmas. Look at apartments rather than hotels - we’re 5 too and hotels are ridiculously expensive as you need two rooms or a suite,

Oh, really? I’ve never actually been to Egypt, it was the only place within the OP’s budget that I could find.

I’ve been to Cape Verde in the winter and the pools weren’t heated either. I couldn’t get in. I’d imagine the Red Sea will be warm though.

Oman or Canaries. We went to Egypt in February and while lovely I found it too cold for little ones (and me) in the pool
