Where to go for fresh fruit?

I know this might sound really silly but I’m trying to be healthy and need some advice on where to buy fresh fruit and vegetables. I just feel supermarket produce is not very healthy - am I wrong? Do I really need to find farm shops? I have no idea where to start. I just feel some fruit from Tesco taste a little artificial and have heard they add wax n stuff to preserve. Please guide me. I have no idea if there’s farm shops near me I’ve tried Googling but they seem very far away.

The only issue about supermarket veg and fruit (well any imported ones anywhere) is that much of it is harvested before ripening so the nutrition and taste are bit meh compared to local stuff harvested when ready. Like tomatoes really lack in most places.
Yy to foreign shops. They have some amazing options for good prices. Plus you can smell it and pick exactly which ones you like since most is not in plastic packages or packages. I always love checking each peace so I can pick them to last throughout the week not like some packs where everything goes off at once kind of thing.

If you have the space/garden, grow fruit. It's the easiest to grow rather than vegetables, but can take a bit of time to establish for decent yields. If you like raspberries, buy the plants (now if possible or wait till spring - this time of year is best for planting trees of any kind) as they're easy to grow. Same for blueberries - these will take a couple of years to grow to a decent size as they're quite slow-growing. Or strawberries. All will have different needs specific to their individual growing conditions. Apples, pears and plums take a couple of years (min. 6) but after a year, you'll still have a little harvest. All will need good sunny positions.
