To think our government is completely taking the pi$$

This is what the UK government collected in taxes 22/23…………. £1.017 Trillion in total. Divide that by 365 and that equates to 2,786,301,369.86 billions pounds a DAY. Break that down….
2.7 / 24 116,095,890 (roughly 16 million per hour)
Divide that by 60 (minutes) which equates to 1.934,931.50 million a minute.

So can someone please explain to me why our country is in the shitter. People can’t afford to eat, heat their home, are relying on food banks. Our NHS & education systems are on their knees. Where the fuck is all the money going, it sure as shit isn’t going back into our country & services.

Two reasons.

Because there are too many net recipients who don’t contribute enough and take more and more from an ever reducing number of net contributors. Half of all spending in this country is done by the government with net contributors taxes. As an example there are over two million people who have decided that they do not need to look for work because they have suddenly developed mental health issues. There are over 5 millions people on universal credit. Mom one earning under £35k is contributing enough to be a net contributor.

The second reason is that this government and the previous ones for the last 25 years have been stealing from us. Out and out corruption in broad daylight.
Where did the £37b spent on test and trace go?
Where have the billions spent on HS2 gone. No one knows and no one is accountable.
Government ministers handed out Covid loans and furlough billions to fraudsters, many of whom were probably their own friends.
The size of the civil service is larger than ever, and they are delivering less than ever. What is the point of these overpaid, useless incompetent morons?
The size of the NHS is larger than ever, yet they deliver less than ever.

This corrupt government and lazy takers in this country are robbing an ever shrinking base of net contributors tax payers.

Your maths is wrong by a significant margin

Is the COVID enquiry going to address the stolen money? Like PPE and Test and Trace. I can't believe they haven't been arrested for it. I'm shit myself that I did my tax return slightly wrong and somehow doubled claimed in a £50 receipt. Thieving Tory bastards.

Tory mismanagement and corruption.
Yes we are a huge economy. It's absolutely farcical that we can't afford to fund the NHS, schools, homeless.
It's suits their ideology. But it has no basis in facts.
