that’s not to say it’s impossible and that people don’t do it but it is harder.

would you gently say that to someone who’s a bit head in the clouds?

I think everyone knows that having a child is harder. But then again so are many other huge life commitments that involve you being someone’s responsibility. Or anything that takes a huge part of your time and income. That doesn’t make it less enjoyable. With a good support system or money to pay for one makes raising children significantly easier.

these days people say “choose your hard” or “pick your poison”.

@Disorganisedmess2023 sounds triggered. Children can motivate people. Some people are childless and very self motivated. I agree I personally pushed myself more after having my child but I was on par with many of my childless friends that also worked hard but also had the luxury of less responsibility (apart from those that cared for family or had other commitments).
