To expect drivers to use their lights when visibility is poor ?

Today , I was driving on the M25 , visibility was poor due to the rain and the amount of spray being thrown up.

So many cars now are white , black , silver and grey - the latter just disappear when there's rubbish visability .
I know from previous years now the clocks have changed so many drivers think they're ok because their front lights automatically come on - my own car does this - but the rear lights need to be switched on.

There were loads of signs on the overhead like :
60/50
congestion ahead
stay left unless overtaking

one about lights would nudge someone but seriously - why do this ?

So many cars without lights it was madness .

Totally agree. The problem I think is with automatic lights thinking it's daytime, but the spray reducing visibility. Especially a problem with grey cars
