To think I’m going to spend the night throwing up?

Just ate a half a lamb burger - homemade with mince- only to find it was pink in the middle. Left the rest obvs but am now wondering if my weekend of plans is going to be out? I know nobody can say for sure but wondering what the chances are.

Ive had it before with beef and not been too worried but lamb seems more dicey? 🙈

it is never advised to eat pork pink, as it is the main carrier of human tapeworm.

and as pp said, chicken must never be pink because of salmonella.

If the internal temperature reaches 63C it’s safe to eat, and can look pink, so it’s not as clear cut as that.

Pork, not chicken though. Don’t undercook chicken.

what? I always eat lamb and beef rare unless slow cooked.

Pork and chicken cooked through.

I survived! I'm a bit nervy about things like this having had a horrific bout of food poisoning a couple of years ago that I really do not care to repeat!

Thanks for all the reassurance posts, I've never had the issue with lamb before and it seemed like online everything pointed towards lamb cuts being fine but minced lamb not being ok to be pink, hence the worry!
